Out to dinner...
Out to dinner...
2022-03-26 21:27:37 +0000 UTC View PostLike the rest of the world during the Pandemic, I missed simple things that I used to take for granted: going out to dinner, dressing up, spending time with my loved ones. I also count my blessings every day that I was one of the lucky ones who survived 3 bouts of covid when many I knew did not. Everything I do now, I try to do with intention- like it could be my very last day. That is what these last few brutal years have taught me. Blessings to you all ❤️❤️

2022-03-26 00:35:18 +0000 UTC View PostA great article about weight gain during the Pandemic. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/covid-weight-gain-office-reopen_n_6228ec0be4b004a43c13b5cc I, too, experienced this and now I am losing my pandemic pounds/kilos. After a certain age, it takes much more work than before to keep fit. Sexy has no age, no size. Good health is all that matters. Being 'flawless' is A MYTH that no one can possibly attain. An attractive exterior can house a flawed interior. The journey is PERPETUAL and has to be worked at. Rejoice in your flaws and strive for wellness. You are worth it.

I have been *so* inspired by @hiitwithpaloma and her workouts and they are DEFINITELY paying off, even on someone over 50 like me. Strength training, cardio workouts, squats and more squats are incredible ways to prevent muscle loss as one ages. Check out her workouts at https://onlyfans.com/hiitwithpaloma

2022-03-21 20:47:26 +0000 UTC View PostAs we age, the need for exercise increases. This is especially true for those of us who are menopausal or post-menopausal. "Women often exercise less when they enter menopause, which can lead to weight gain. To further complicate matters, the metabolism is also decreased. One reason for this metabolism declines with age is the loss of muscle mass (about half-a-pound a year)." In addition, the health/cardiovascular benefits are immense. Take care of your bodies now, so you can live the healthiest life you can. It's never too early or too late to start.
2022-03-21 00:46:02 +0000 UTC View PostThe importance of Vitamin D3 cannot be stressed enough. I have genetic lupus autoimmune and live daily with chronic illness. Vitamin D3 is my first line of defense against lupus flares... sunshine is a great way to get it, but it is not enough. Most of us require extra supplementation. "Vitamin D is important for overall health. You get it from the sun, foods you eat, or supplements. It comes in two main forms: D2 and D3. If you have too little, you may problems with your bones, muscles, immune system, and mood. You could also have more inflammation and pain. Vitamin D has multiple roles in the body. It assists in: promoting healthy bones and teeth supporting immune, brain, and nervous system health regulating insulin levels and supporting diabetes management supporting lung function and cardiovascular health influencing the expression of genes involved in cancer development" There are even more benefits I have not listed here, go get your vitamin D on daily!

2022-03-17 17:53:48 +0000 UTC View PostI am 53 years old and I generally avoid excessive sun exposure, even during my trip to the Dominican Republic. Wearing a good sunscreen is an absolute must when it comes to protecting your skin. Skin cancers, sun damage, age spots, wrinkles are all the result of excessive sun exposure. Pamper yourself and protect your skin "NOW*. It's never too late to start. You can reverse the signs of aging by using a good skin care regimen and seeing your dermatologist regularly.

2022-03-07 20:12:25 +0000 UTC View PostI love lash extensions- mostly, because the older I get, the less makeup I wear (if at all). They last for weeks, are no more bothersome than getting nails done, and look fantastic! "Eyelash extensions add volume to the natural lash line and can lift the face and make people appear more youthful. It's no secret societal beauty standards applaud long, thick eyelashes, and with extensions, you can enhance your natural beauty without the use of makeup or other beauty products." For older women who may have reduced close-up vision- this is one less worry!
2022-03-07 03:38:18 +0000 UTC View PostGetting ready for my Dominican Republic trip this week and trying on dresses. No makeup, unbrushed hair. Lots of new photos and videos will be forthcoming this week, as I am taking time off for some joy and self-care! Stress is a part of life, but relaxation should also be. Too often we're focused on work, family, and terrible events. We have to work hard to maintain our focus and balance in all things.
2022-03-06 04:37:49 +0000 UTC View PostI found this video of me from 2002 when I was 33 yrs old and it's so incredibly hot. 🔥 Beauty is timeless. It's how you feel, how you express yourself, the confidence you project. I *feel* even more confident now than this younger version of myself did then. Take care of your health, your skin, your bodies and celebrate the *NOW*. (Keep in mind, it is 20 years old- how did we live without the amazing tech we have now in photography?)
