I'd much rather be candid, so in this moment of transparency, I decided to leave in all of my imperfections because every single scar tells a story. I can look at my beat-up knees and see me sliding across stages around the world, knowing that this is something that any dancer this reaches can relate to. The waterfalls in Puerto Rico have sharp rocks underneath. There are carpet burns from parties in New York City, and the beaches in Jamaica have surprisingly painful sea urchins hidden in the water. There was the dru nk bitch that ran up on stage, and almost ended my career when she tripped and fell on my knee in Scotland, and the time we had jump from the 2nd story to escape the house party got shot up in Philly. I can pick out the scars from the nights I stood up on my knees and blew fire across Italy, London, Dublin, and Toronto. The same knees that I used to stroke the fires of passion also got down to pray to God for better days. Now i get to lay here and appreciate all of the stories told by the scars of my imperfections~ Jus "The Imperfectionate"
